In high school I exchanged letters with friends from other schools — back and forth, one reader at a time. This space begins there.
Social media was meant to keep us connected. Mostly, it became a forever loop of broadcasts — speaking into the void without knowing who, if anyone, is listening. It can leave us feeling deeply isolated, even while receiving daily updates about our friends. And it makes it so much harder to make new ones.
This space is meant to fight that. Letters written from a calm, reflective place, without marketing intention. A place to write a message when you actually want someone to read it — in depth — and respond to it with heart.
One reader at a time. That's the whole idea.
